Mercy Hospital South
Marks 50 Years of Caring for South County.
Join us in celebrating 50 years of compassionate care in South County. Your support will help Mercy Hospital South continue our healing ministry in this community for the next 50 years.
Fifty years ago, a former peach orchard blossomed into something far greater: a place of healing, hope and compassion. What began in 1975 as St. Anthony’s Medical Center—on land purchased by the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters—was rooted in a bold vision to serve the growing needs of South County.
That vision was later shared and expanded by the Sisters of Mercy, helping shape the hospital we know today as Mercy Hospital South.

As the Sisters Before Us...
Just like the visionary Sisters who came before us, we’re proud to continue offering high-quality, faith-based health care to every person in our community who needs it.
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we invite you to join us in honoring this legacy. Your gift today will not only commemorate this milestone—it will help us expand access to care, support our caregivers, and invest in innovative solutions for the next generation of patients.
Every donation strengthens our mission. Thank you for helping build a foundation of care, compassion and healing that will serve our community for decades to come.
